It's all about cookies

Unfortunately we're not talking about the crumbly, delicious kind. On this page we'll cover cookies on our site - how they operate and why we use them to provide better services to you.

In this page, we cover:

  • What is a cookie??
  • Why do we use cookies?
  • SuiteFiles cookies
  • Third party cookies
  • How can you control cookies?

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit one a website. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences while you're browsing and if you come back to the site later on. We, and our third party service providers, use the following types of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the essential operation of our websites.

  • Analytical/performance cookies. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our websites when they are using them. This helps us to improve the way our websites work, for example, by ensuring that users can find what they need easily.

  • Functionality cookies. These are used to recognise you when you return to our websites. This enables us to personalise content for you, for example, your choice of region.

  • Marketing cookies. These cookies enable the passing of information between our websites and our marketing tools, for example, to record that you've signed up for a newsletter.

Why do we use cookies?

Cookies are small but mighty pieces of tracking technology and we use them to help operate our websites and perform analytics. Your privacy is important to us, so we've looked through all of the third party apps that we use, like Google Analytics, to ensure that no PII (Personally Identifiable Information) is captured beyond what is strictly necessary for the running of our websites or services. Below you'll see what cookies we use on our websites and how you can manage your cookie preferences (and we don't mean a penchant for chocolate chip!).

SuiteFiles cookies

We use two different types of cookies on our websites - one to track which region you're in so that we can show you relevant regional information, and one to track your consent to our use of cookies. Our cookies are not used to capture Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
